FAQ’s

Is the event free to attend?

Yes, the event is free of charge.

Who can attend?

This event is open to all students and alumni interested in fields related to public safety.

Who will be there?

Event registration closes on March 13th, so we will finalize the list of registered agencies/orgs/schools once the closing date passes. In the meantime, we’ve invited folks from across the spectrum of public safety-related fields to this event, including law enforcement, corrections, courts, law, victim advocacy, and related university programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels from WSU and other universities.

What should students bring?

We recommend bringing a resume and any questions that you might be interested in asking the participating agencies/organizations/schools that are attending.

Will agencies be conducting interviews during the event?

It depends, you’ll have to ask the agency/organization that you are interested in interviewing with. However, WSUPD is offering a space on Friday, April 10th that agencies/organizations can reserve to follow-up with interested students. If your agency/organization has reserved this space, they will have a sign-up sheet on their table with further information.

Registration Information

If your agency/organization/university is interested in having a table at this event, please make sure to register via the event registration link. Tables are limited to what can safely fit within the venue’s capacity and will be assigned as agencies/orgs/schools register. Registration will close on Friday, March 13th, 2026 or when there are no remaining tables available, whichever happens first.

If you are a WSU student, a student from another university, or anyone else interested in attending this event as a guest, there’s no need to worry about registration! Feel free to stop by at any time during the event.

Donations

WSU Police Cadets work hard – they study for their undergraduate degrees and may work part- or full-time while also participating in our internship-style law enforcement training program. They will also be helping with the set-up and clean-up of the Public Safety Career & Resource Fair, in addition to staffing their own table.

While registration for this year’s event is free, we ask that you consider donating to the WSU Police Cadet Program in lieu of a registration fee. Any donations made will be used to support the program through equipment purchases, organizing additional training opportunities, and team-building incentives.

If you are interested in donating to the WSU Police Cadet Program, we can accept both cash and checks at this time. Please make checks payable to the WSU Police Intern Fund. Donations can be left with Tessa at the event check-in table.

Thank you for supporting our program!
